Haulr is operated and managed by Simon and Andrea Carney; a husband and wife team with a track record in successful businesses.
Simon is an engineer from Liverpool that outsourced haulage for his engineering company’s machinery deliveries until he decided to train in HGV driving and buy a tractor unit and trailer.
Simon realised the great effort and responsibilities of owning and operating heavy goods vehicles so decided to open Haulr Ltd. to help other businesses get their heavy cargo trailers to and from sites without the hassle of owning and operating their own vehicles. Simon quickly realised that many UK organisations have a requirement to outsource trailer haulage during busy periods so the Haulr fleet expanded and the company grew as a result.
Simon and Andrea have aspirations for Haulr to be number 1 in traction-only haulage in the UK and are implementing a growth plan to open several operating centres around the UK to enable Haulr to be more efficient and cost-effective for our customers.
Andrea feels strongly Haulr’s environmental impact so we drive the business to “Make every journey count” by working tirelessly to arrange return hauls serve a purpose whilst on the road.
Simon is an advocate of innovation and works closely with truck manufacturers in the engineering industry on new products and technology. Throughout 2025, several electric trucks will be added to the Haulr fleet so please keep up with our latest news by following us on LinkedIn
